My lawyer is asking for $1,081,ooo for auto accident not my fault will i get it?

on the job when auto accident happened lady ran red light.i had disk fusion surgery & concussion.i had my position for 14 yrs. i'm 64 and my salary was 74,000 a yr.my owners uliminated my position,i have short term memory.i ran 7 stores.i am now getting unemployment 275.a wk.i'm depressed.i planned on working till 70 so i could get full retirement.
