Taking over a town on Fable.?

You kill all shop/house owners and then buy the houses. No, you cannot take over south bowerstone. Guards and villagers respawn with time. You gain money if you rent out the houses, come back every couple of days and collect money. Don't do it for the money, there are better/faster ways of gaining money, it isn't worth running around collecting rent
