I have a bad gmod problem right now...?

I bought gmod 10 (and the orange box so I downloaded ALL of the half life two stuff except for episode 2) I thought this would solve my gmod problem, midway through the loading, it breaks down, saying hl2.exe is not working and I end up closing it down ._. . anyone have an Idea WHAT i'm doing wrong?!?!?
