Friend Versus Ex?

My ex boyfriend and I dated for 3 months. We mutually broke up and became friends which shortily became friends with benefits because whenever we are together those feelings are there. We broke up because he still has feelings for his ex and wasnt able to give me his all. My other friend we never dated just chilled and whenever he was hurt, i was there. he moved to NC out of nowhere. Recently he got back and contact and said how much he liked me and missed me and wanna see me and start a relationship. I use to want to date my friend and he is a real gentleman but i really care for my ex. My ex said when he ready, he will come back to me because I am the type a girl he need and wants. But he barely got a job. I pay for everything for him.but he just startin to pay me back. My ex's best friend thinks its a waster of time to be with him. What When with my friend its the other way around, which i admire because we would do for each other. should i do?
